Suggested Naming Conventions for CWS Files/Activities

Document/Activity Type Name or Abbreviation-PWSID-YearMonth-Analyte/EntryPointName-Version #

  • YearMonth should reflect the Year and Month that the file pertains to, not necessarily the submitted date of the file. 

  • If files were submitted via email, the email must be uploaded to the activity as General Correspondence and the Month and Year must match the documents enclosed in the email.

  • Analyte, not applicable in all situations.

  • EntryPointName and Version# are not applicable in all situations.
