New Knowledge Base Articles
This past month, we've added the following new articles to our knowledge base:
Inspection List by Activity Status Report - A new report was launched with Release 17. Program staff can now generate reports for inspection activities based on activity status, local health department office, county, and dates.
How to use the Campground Inspection List by Activity Status report.
How to use the Public Swimming Pool Inspection List by Activity Status report.
How to use the Septage Hauler Inspection List by Activity Status report
How to use the Septage Waste Receiving Facility Inspection List by Activity Status report
How do I forward messages to a workgroup? EGLE staff can now forward MiEHDWIS messages sent from external users to other staff members in a workgroup. No more losing messages from external users when passing information between team members.
How Do I Bulk File Download? - Now you can bulk download a set of files instead of downloading them individually.
Compliance Schedules - Coming Soon! - Compliance Schedules will be coming into MiEHDWIS soon, so this KBA is more informational about what is to come. We will be updating this KBA when the first compliance schedule is live.
Septage Hauler Business License Renewal Process - With Release 17 came the Septage Hauler business License renewal process. This KBA is for both Septage field staff and the Septage Program administrator, walking thought all the required steps needed for the renewal process.
Configuration and Integration Wins
The configuration team has been busy these last few months. This list contains some of the major wins that have been completed:
Septage Hauler Business License renewal process - Matt Rockhold and the Septage Field staff have a new licenses renewal process, allowing external users to complete their renewals via MiEHDWIS or via mail.
Environmental Health Inspection workflows - The 2025 EH inspection workflows are live! This year the workflows are cleaner, easier for internal and external people to use and review. An added bonus is “Issue Licenses” notification for approved inspection. These workflows will be used for the 2025 year and revisited in October for potential improvements.
Enforcement Unit CWS workflow live - The Enforcement unit is officially in MiEHDWIS, and we are happy to have them. The first workflow for EU is in community water supplies.
Enabled Automatic Document generation - This configuration change is going to save you several clicks when accessing permit and licenses generated documents. Instead of going to the generated documents folder, clicking the generate button, and selecting what you want generated. Now when you access the drawer, the files you need will automatically be there.
Filter table grids - This might not sound exciting, but if you are someone who works with Bacteriological Sampling forms, Lead and Copper Sample Plan forms or DDBP Sampling plan forms, you now have the ability to filter the table grids within a form, making finding the information you need faster.
Messaging Forwarding- Internal users can now forward external user messages to different users in a workgroup. For example, if you are a district analyst and you got a message that should be seen by a district engineer, you can now forward that message directly to the user in that workgroup.
Updated Attachment Help Text (CWS Workflows) - A simple but mighty change that will affect external users. Users are now getting the message “File Uploads are not allowed, message EGLE” on steps in CWS workflows when users are no longer able to attach documents. This will help clarify steps moving forward for external users.
Is there a configuration change you would like to happen? Submit a Request a Change ticket. The process is simple. Once you submit a change request, it is reviewed to see if this is something that is a quick review and change or if it something that needs to be approved on a larger scale. You will meet with the configuration team, to help come up with a solution.
UPDATED Knowledge Base Articles

I want to know more about... - This landing page received a much-needed reorganization - While users typically use the KBA’s in their program section, it is important to visit the I need to know more about… page.
