How do I remove a Certifier from my water supply in MiEHDWIS?
Does our water supply need to replace our Certifier who left? If the removal of a Certifier leaves the supply without any other Certifiers, you will need to request a certifier role or designate another water supply staff person or consultant to do so.
Although you do NOT need certifier status to prepare/upload documents, there does need to be at least one certifier role assigned for each supply, in order to certify (“approve”) documents and transition activities to EGLE for review/processing. Documents are not submitted to EGLE until certified and transitioned.
If your Certifier was an operator in charge or back-up operator for your supply, you may need to update the Operator Designation Form for Community Water Supply.
Water Supply Administrative Contact (Entity Administrator) Responsibility
The Administrative Contact (Entity Administrator) of the water supply is responsible for reporting changes to their supply’s MiEHDWIS Certifiers. Administrative Contacts (Entity Administrators) agree to this notification requirement when they sign the Certifier’s Certifier Agreement (CA), as below:
”I understand and agree that as the Entity Administrator, it is my responsibility to notify appropriate EGLE staff to promptly inactivate the applicant’s access to the entity’s MiEHDWIS account if their status as certifier for the entity ends.”
Certifier Removal via MiEHDWIS
If the Administrative Contact (Entity Administrator) of the water supply is also a Certifier, they may request the Certifier’s inactivation via MiEHDWIS.
On the left main navigation bar under Dashboard, click Activity History.
Using the Filter option, type in Certifier and either press enter or click on the Filter button.
Find the Certifier you wish to remove and click on the Activity ID hyperlink.
Click the Request Inactivation button.
On the Request Inactivation dialog box, click Request Inactivation.
A Task has been created with a Form that needs to be completed. Click Start Form.
Fill out all required information. The Comment section is optional but can be used to provide more information (i.e. Certifier is no longer employed with supply, etc). Once all information is filled out, click Complete.
The activity will be assigned to the EGLE MiEHDWIS certifier team who will remove the Certifier from the supply and transition the activity to Inactive.
