The MiEHDWIS team is excited to deliver the 6.0 release of MiEHDWIS on April 21, 2022. This release introduces a new set of workflow and form-related functionality that directly supports the new CWS Construction Permit process.

These tools, which include the ability to bind data to a form, allow a forms administrator to configure a form to present entity and activity data from the database, allow the end user to make changes to that data, and even save those changes back to the system. Even though these features were developed in conjunction with the CWS Construction Permit process, they are available to any program area that uses
dynamic forms.

The release boasts numerous bug-fixes and file management usability improvements.

CWS

CWS Construction Permits. A new workflow and dynamic form that allows a water supply owner/operator, engineer, contracted user, or other certifier to submit a construction permit application online and direct that application through the entire construction permit review process, including the ability to generate fees and invoices.

General Enhancements

Dynamic Forms Enhancements. Improvements to the dynamic forms engine to allow functional data binding (the ability to reference, update, and save functional data using a custom online form); advanced form properties that allow conditional visibility of fields based on a user’s prior
forms selections; and a new multi-select field.

File Management Enhancements. An improved user experience when uploading files on an entity and activity (via the file object drawer).

Template Notification Enhancements. The first implementation of custom system notifications that allows a system administrator to view notifications currently used in the system when tasks are generated, emails sent, and files uploaded.

Workflow Tools. This release includes more advanced workflow tools that allow programmatic control over setting file dates, manipulating form data, transition restrictions (moving from one task to another), advanced Service Level Agreement (SLA) timers, and the ability to set and configure activity closure (resolution) statuses.
