How do I approve or deny a MiLogin for Business (formerly Third Party) MiEHDWIS access request?
Navigate to System, then go to Security, then Access Requests.
Under MILogin User Type, look for any Third Party requests.
Citizen accounts are no longer allowed in MiEHDWIS and should not come through as a request.
Worker Accounts: Assign to CWS requests to Danielle and NCWS/EH to Kristen.
Click on the user’s REQ ID link (make sure it isn’t assigned to anyone).
Verify that a MiEHDWIS account does not already exist for user.
Copy last name.
Click on Security, then Users.
Paste last name and verify that an account does not already exist.
If an account already exists, email user (template available in MiEHDWIS email account) to find out if there is a business need for having another account (i.e. conducting business for two different entities using different email addresses) or if they need help getting into their established account (i.e. need password reset).
Go Back to Security, then Access Requests, then click on the Request ID of the user you are reviewing.
Review request for the Entity Type, Reason for Access, and Role Description.
a. Determine if the Reason for Access needs further explanation. If yes, send email asking for clarification.
At this time, determine if the user is from a Local Health Department (LHD) or an EH program (Campgrounds, Swimming Pools, Septage, or Water Hauler). If so, an additional step of linking or creating their contact is required before moving on to Step 7.
For CWS users, continue on to Step 7. They do not currently have contacts in MiEHDWIS.
To approve or deny a request, click Transition and then choose Approve Request or Deny Request.
For CWS requests, send approval email to user (template in the MiEHDWIS email account) as it contains instructions on applying for a certifier role, if applicable.
For account denials, send email to user explaining reason for denial (some templates available in the MiEHDWIS email account).
