How do I create an activity, upload files and submit to EGLE?
Activity Creator and Contributor
Click Create Activity.
From the Entity Type dropdown, select Community Water Supply.
Please note, you may set your default entity type to Community Water Supply under your profile settings.
Select the Category that best suits your submission type from the dropdown. Please reference CWS Activity Categories and Activity Types for assistance.
Once you select a Category, the Activity Type field appears. Please select the Activity Type that best suits your submission type from the dropdown. Please reference CWS Activity Categories and Activity Types for assistance.
If none of the Activity Types fit your submission, you may have chosen the wrong Category in Step 3.
Type in the Entity Name or Entity ID to ensure that the file is connected to the correct Entity upon submission. Confirm that the Entity Name matches the Entity ID.
Click Create.
At this point, you will be taken to the Activity page and are assigned a unique Activity ID (ACT-XXXX).
On this page, you may click Upload Attachment to upload files, use the Send Message tool (available after submitting on all activities besides Construction Permits) to send a message to the appropriate DWEHD staff member, view the Status and Timeline, as well as complete any Tasks, if applicable.
Review the information listed in the Description field as it will give you information on completing the activity.
To upload a file, scroll down to the Customer Attachments card and click Upload Attachment.
Select the file(s) to upload.
Complete the information on the card.
File Name: Please title file name to accurately describe the file being submitted (i.e. June 2024 Monthly Bacti Results, 2024 Annual Pumpage Report, etc).
File Description: Optional field to include any necessary information about the file (i.e. Positive bacti sample on June 3, 2024 result, etc).
File Type: Please select the File Type that best suits your submission from the dropdown.
If none of the File Types fit your file, you may have chosen the wrong Category in Step 3 and/or the wrong Activity Type in Step 4. Please Withdraw the activity and start over.
Click Save.
Review your Activity.
Make sure any generated Tasks are marked as complete.
Make sure all your attachments are accurate.
At this point, you may edit file details, delete erroneously uploaded files, and upload any missed files.
Click on Proceed to Certification.
Until the Certifier approves and submits the Activity to EGLE, you may still edit file details, delete erroneously uploaded files, and upload any missed files. You still have the option of withdrawing the activity as well.

Certifiers
If creating an Activity, follow steps 1-14 in the instructions for Activity Creator and Contributor. Then proceed to Step 4.
To certify an Activity created by another user (Activity Status will be Pending Certification), click on the Activity ID.
Review Activity for accuracy.
Review the information listed in the Description field as it will give you information on completing and certifying the activity.
Make sure any generated Tasks are marked as complete.
Make sure all the attachments are accurate and do not contain any errors.
You may edit file details, delete erroneously uploaded files or files containing errors, and upload any additional files.
You still have the option of withdrawing the activity at this point.
Click on Submit to EGLE or Submit to EGLE - Urgent!.
Examples of when to use Submit to EGLE - Urgent! would be for positive bacti samples, high lead results, and similar. Please do NOT use Submit to EGLE - Urgent! for late reporting.
Complete required information in popup box and then click Submit to EGLE.
Check Submission Attestation checkbox.
Enter Security PIN that was sent via email.
Please check spam/junk folders if not received. If still having PIN issues, reach out to the help desk for assistance.
The same PIN may be used for other submissions until you log out of your current session.
Activity has now been submitted to EGLE and routed to the appropriate DWEHD Staff Member for review.
THINGS TO NOTE
This is not an error message. Please do NOT create a new activity to fix any mistakes contained within a submitted activity. Reach out to the appropriate DWEHD Staff Member via the Messages card to have the activity transitioned back to you for corrections. See How do I delete, edit or archive incorrect files? for more information.
You can check your activity(ies) status under Activity History under the Customer Portal menu. For more information, reach out to the appropriate DWEHD Staff Member via the Messages card.
Some activities contain forms (called dynamic forms). These activities will have a task automatically created for you upon creating activity. Click Start Form and follow the steps within the form to complete.
