Upcoming Release: Release 17- Timeline & Key Features

Release Date: January 16th, 2025
We’re excited to announce the timeline for our upcoming release! Here’s a quick update on the release schedule and what you can expect:

  • Release Date: January 16th, 2025

  • Release Status: Finalizing

  • Key Features:

    • Starting to on-board Temporary Campgrounds - Please note, not ready for live use

    • Starting to on-board NCWS- Please note, not ready for live use

    • Updates to Septage Hauler

    • Continued Water Hauler functionality

    • CWS Compliance Schedule updates

    • NCWS Spotlight

Please be on the lookout for more information as we get closer to release. Emails will be coming out about demoing of new features.


New Knowledge Base Articles

This past month, we've added the following new articles to our knowledge base:

 Expect a fresh batch of KBA’s in the February Update after Release 17 is live.


UPDATED Knowledge Base Articles
Many of these knowledge base articles have been updated due to a new release feature. Additionally, we are working to make more training videos for our KBA’s.

You can access all Knowledge Base articles at Confluence.


Upcoming Meetings & Trainings

Here’s a list of important meetings and training sessions to keep on your radar:

  • Release 17 Demo - MiEHDWIS Open Office hours

    • Date & Time: 1/10/2025 - 10am

    • Location/Platform: Teams meeting - hosted in standing MiEHDWIS Open Office Hours

    • Details: Adrienne and Mary will be walking through the some of the most impactful changes that are coming with R17.

  • CWS External User Training

    • Date & Time: 1/22/20225 - 11am

    • Location/Platform: Virtual Platform

    • Details: This training is for External CWS users. This is a monthly training, and it will be covering some of the most impactful changes to external CWS users. Please feel free to promote this training to any external CWS users. MiEHDWIS CWS External User Training - Registration

  • February MiEHDWIS Refresher

    • Date & Time: [Date & Time]

    • Location/Platform: Virtual meeting

    • Details: This is the first of 4 MiEHDWIS Refresher courses that will be offered in 2025. This training is for all new DWEHD staff that interact with MiEHDWIS. This training is also appropriate for employees who feel less comfortable using the software. We will be covering the following topics:

      • Navigating MiEHDWIS basic

      • How to use the search features

      • Setting up custom dashboard

      • Where and how to get MiEHDWIS help

Be sure to mark your calendars for these trainings and promote them to your teammates and any external CWS users.


Current and Upcoming UAT Sprint Cycles

Here’s an update on our sprint cycles:

  • Current Sprint Cycle: 120

    • Build Start Date: 12/04/2024

    • Build End Date: 1/07/2025

    • Testing Start Date: 1/09/2025

    • Testing End Date Testing: 1/21/2025

    • Key Focus Areas:  Expanded timeline for Sprint 120, due to State Holidays.
      PI18 miscellaneous and PI17 bug fixes

      • Updates for LHD users regarding Septage Hauler usability

      • begin build for Activity menu for external user customer portal.

      • Updates for Temporary Campgrounds

      • Update dynamic forms including data binding on external form and address widget

      • Entity Activity Tab: Document expander for Activities list

      • Updating MiEHDWIS logo

      • Bug fixes

  • Upcoming Sprint Cycle: 121

    • Start Date Build: 1/08/2025

    • End Date Build: 1/21/2025

    • Start Date Testing: 1/23/2025

    • End Date Testing: 2/4/2025

    • Key Focus Areas:

      • Updates for External User customer portal- Entity Contributors

      • Work on Annual Pumpage Reports

      • Continuing the build on Activity Menu Stepper for Customer Portal

      • Change OWM LHD Program status report sort order

      • Expose Temporary Campgrounds and Noncommunity Water supply Entity Details in Letter Templating

      • Bug fixes


Important Reminders

  • How to submit a “Request a Change” Ticket?: If there is something that you think would improve your daily use of MiEHDWIS then consider submitting a “Request a Change” ticket. Once a Request a change Ticket comes in, it is reviewed by the Gov Board liaisons. Some small changes do not require Gov Board approval, while other will need to be reviewed to for scope of impact.

  • What is the process for requesting new training materials?: If you notice that a training material is missing, A KBA needs to be updated or you would like to request a team or small group training session, please feel free to submit “Request Training Materials” ticket with the Internal Help Desk.
    Please let us know what you need, your name, when you need it by, the type of materials needed, the audience for the materials and a description of what is needed.
    Someone will reach out to your shortly after you’ve submitted your ticket.

  • Who are the SMEs? - This KBA is a refresher list of who is currently an SME (subject matter Expert).
