Change of Ownership Campgrounds

Part 1 - Application

  1. Create Activity. This can be done in one of two ways.

    1. Using the Activity Menu on the user Dashboard.

    2. Selecting Create Activity in the left-hand menu.

  2. To select the entity, navigate to the Full Set of Campground Entities Tab. Then start typing name of the campground for ownership transfer.

    1. Do not create a new campground. Transfer of ownership is for currently established campgrounds.

      1. If you are creating a new campground, please follow the Campground construction permit guidance.

  3. Select + Create.

  4. This will take you to the Activity Overview page. The activity will be assigned a unique ID (ACT-XXXXXX).

  5. Review the Guidance, and when ready, select Begin Application.

  6. New Guidance will appear. After reviewing the guidance, select the Start Form button listed under Tasks.

  7. The form will ask you to confirm details about the campground, like the email address and phone number. It will also collect the billing address of the new owner.

  8. When you have finished the form, select the Complete button.

    1. If you need to return to the form, please select the Save Draft button.

  9. The form is automatically submitted to EGLE when you select the Complete button.

  10. If needed, you can use the Messages card to communicate with the Campground Program Administrative staff.

No more action is currently needed. The Campground Program Administrative staff will review and approve the application. Once the application is approved, you will want to come in and finish the payment section.

Be sure to adjust your notification settings to get prompt alerts for your activities.

More Information Needed

Not all users will need to provide more information to EGLE. Often when something needs information a section of a form was accidently skipped, or address information needed.

If your activity status reads More Information Needed, please review this section. If you Activity Status say Waiting for Payment, please skip to part 2 - Payment.

  1. Locate your activity with the Activity Status of More Information Needed in your Open Activities Card on your user dashboard.

  2. Select the Activity ID to navigate to your Activity Overview Page.

  3. Review the Guidance provided at the top of the page.

  4. Check the Task card.

  1. Select Review Form to edit your application.

  2. Complete and mark as completed any other assigned tasks.

  3. Check the Messages Card for any additional information.

  4. When required information has been provided, select the Resubmit button.


Part 2 - Payment

  1. After the campground program administrative staff have reviewed your application, the activity will be sent back to you to complete payment.

  2. Locate the Change in Ownership Activity,

    1. There will be a notification sent to you in the user menu notification bar.

    2. The Activity will be listed in the Open Activities card on the dashboard with the status Waiting for Payment.

  3. Select the Activity.

  4. This will navigate back to the activity overview page.

  5. Review the provided Guidance regarding paying your fee.

  6. Optional: If you would like a PDF copy of your invoice, select the I’d like a PDF copy of my invoice button.

    1. This will activate the download invoice button, on the Fees Card.

    2. Select the invoice button and a PDF version of the invoice will download to your device.

  7. When you are ready to pay your fee amount, select the green Pay button.

    1. This payment route is for credit card and debit card payments only.

  8. This will take you to a new website, called ThePayPlace.

  1. Once you have completed your payment through ThePayPlace, you will be taken back to the Activity Overview page in MiEHDWIS.

  2. After completing the payment, confirm your action by selecting the Paid button.

    1. If you forget to select the Paid button, the system will automatically transition your activity after 24 hours.

  1. No more action is required.
