How do I renew my Swimming Pool license?

The current process for Swimming Pool license renewal and payment of invoices

Follow the renewal instructions in the packet you received in postal mail. If you did not receive a packet, or need to update owner contact information, please reach out to DWEHD Public Swimming Pool Program staff at EGLE-DWEHD-PublicPoolProgram@Michigan.gov.

If you are a new owner, please contact EGLE-DWEHD-PublicPoolProgram@Michigan.gov to complete a transfer of ownership before processing your renewal. 


TO PAY ONLINE: Visit https://www.thepayplace.com/MI/DEQ/SwimmingPool. Return BOTH the payment confirmation page and license application directly to the Pool Program via email at EGLE-DWEHD-PublicPoolProgram@Michigan.gov. Use the spaces provided on the application to edit incorrect information.
TO PAY BY MAIL: Submit your check, invoice, and license application to the EGLE Cashier’s Office. Use the spaces provided on the license application to edit incorrect information.

REMIT PAYMENT TO: STATE OF MICHIGAN

Mail invoice, signed application and payment to:

Payment and processing of License Renewal is coming to MiEHDWIS in the future

As EGLE transitions to electronic submissions, we strongly encourage Swimming Pool Owners to create a MiLogin for Business account and then request an account to MiEHDWIS. The system allows users to submit documents directly to EGLE for review as well as has direct messaging to EGLE staff right on a submission activity. Coming later this year, there will be the ability to pay for invoices and view license and permit documents as soon as they are issued by EGLE. Please create a MiEHDWIS account for future use of payments and license renewal features, following the instructions below.
