How do I know which activities have open tasks?

The Open Tasks column on the Customer Portal - My Work overview page shows the external user a warning icon indicating activities that have open tasks and need attention, along with a count of the external tasks that are open.

How do I get there?

As an approved external user, when you open the Customer Portal you will see a list of your previously created work items. If this list is empty, create a new work item. To view previously created work items, navigate to Customer Portal > Overview.

What do these icons tell me?

When you see an open task or a caution icon next to it, it indicates whether a particular work item has open contributor tasks. The total number of open tasks will also be presented regardless of who the current assignee is.

The warning indicator will display only when there is both an open contributor task and the step is assigned to an external user.

Why can’t I complete this task?

A contributor task may require specific external users with specific permissions to complete them and may not be assigned to the logged in user, such as the Certifier on an entity.
