Water Hauler Business License Application Process
The current process for submitting a Water Hauler business license application
You can submit an application for a Water Hauler business license by either postal mail or by email. DWEHD water hauler program staff will upload the application to an activity in MiEHDWIS for processing. You will then be able to see the progress of your application in MiEHDWIS.
In a future MiEHDWIS update, water haulers will be able to initiate a business license application or renewal within MiEHDWIS.
If you are a new owner of an existing licensed facility, please contact RockholdM@Michigan.gov to complete a transfer of ownership before processing your renewal.
Mail your application to:
Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy
Drinking Water and Environmental Health Division
EHS - Noncommunity Water Supplies Unit
P.O. Box 30817
Lansing, Michigan 48909-8311
Payment and Processing of License Renewal is Coming to MiEHDWIS in the Future
As EGLE transitions to electronic submissions, we strongly encourage Water Hauler Owners to create a MiLogin for Business account and then request an account to MiEHDWIS. The system allows users to submit documents directly to EGLE for review as well as has direct messaging to EGLE staff right on a submission activity. Coming later this year, there will be the ability to pay for invoices and view license and permit documents as soon as they are issued by EGLE. Please create a MiEHDWIS account for future use of payments and license renewal features, following the instructions below.
Getting a MiEHDWIS account requires two steps:
