Using the Dashboard
If you work for a Local Health Department, be sure to view, Using the Local Health Department Dashboard.
All other users should follow this guide to see what is available to you on the dashboard.
Customer Portal Menu
In the upper left corner of the dashboard is the customer portal menu, which provides links to assist users in navigating MiEHDWIS. The menu options include:
Dashboard (returns users to the main dashboard)
My Recent Activities
In the upper right corner of the screen, under your username, is the My Recent Activities drawer. Selecting the My Recent Activities button opens a side screen with two tabs. The first tab displays activities you have recently submitted to EGLE, while the second tab shows activities you have recently created.
Welcome
The Welcome widget will include an introduction to what you can find in MiEHDWIS. It will also be a place where important information (such as updates, a link to the help desk, reminders, and more) can be found.
Open Invoices
This space allows you to view and pay any open invoice for the entities that you are the MiCaRs billable customer for. On this card, invoices can be downloaded and viewed, as well as completed payment through the pay button. There is also the ability to toggle to see closed invoices as well as open invoices. Activity Menu
The Activity Menu allows you to create an activity right from your dashboard. If you are connected to one entity, that entity will be your default choice. If you are connected to several entities, you will be able to select one from the drop-down menu. For more information, please visit Using the Activity Menu.
My Messages on Open Activities
If you send a message to EGLE staff on an activity, you will see the response show up right on your dashboard. You can filter these messages based on those older than 14 days and export the messages into an Excel file. To learn more about using the messaging feature please visit Messaging EGLE Staff.
Please Note: The Messages on Open Activities feature is not activated for the Temporary Campgrounds Program.
Open Tasks
All tasks assigned to you will show up on this widget. Clicking on the task will take you to the activity overview of that task. You can also filter the tasks based on who they are assigned to and the type of activity. You can also sort these tasks based on activity ID, task due date, activity type, and who the task is assigned to.
Open Activities
All of your open activities will show up in this widget. You now have the ability to filter these activities on a variety of fields, as well as export the list of activities into a spreadsheet. As before, the needs attention icon appears when a task needs to be completed on the activity.
Your Contact Information
If you have an associated contact in MiEHDWIS, your contact information will appear here. Contacts do not equate to having a user account in MiEHDWIS. If contact information is listed and is incorrect, you will have the ability to update that information here by clicking the pencil icon.
Entities
A list of entities associated with you is listed on this widget. If a new entity needs to be created (e.g., new construction of a campground), visit Creating a New Entity.
