Pumpage/Usage Annual Reports

New Process Beginning January 2026 for the 2025 Annual Reports. 

Deadline: March 31st of each year

Previously, supplies created Pumpage activities via the Create Activity Menu. Now, EGLE generates the required Pumpage Annual Report activities for the water supplies required to complete and submit these reports to EGLE.

Locating the Pumpage Annual Report Activity

External user who are Certifiers will receive an activity assignment notification on 1/1. Notifications will be delivered via notification method preferences. 

Users must be a contributor on the activity or entity level in order to see this activity. 

There are four ways to find the activity that was created and assigned to your supply:

  1. Users with email notifications enabled will receive an email with a link to the activity. Simply click the activity link in the email; if you are logged into MiEHDWIS, this will take you directly to the activity.

  2. In MiEHDWIS, click the user icon to expand a drop-down menu and then click on Notifications. Click the activity link for the Pumpage Report activity.

  1. From the Dashboard, use the Filter on the Open Activities card and filter for the Pumpage Annual Report activity type. This will filter the Open Activities card to show just the Pumpage Annual Report type activities. Click the open activity.

In the Activity Type box, select Community Water Supply - Pumpage Annual Report, then select Filter.
  1. On your Activity History, use the Activity Type quick filter and look for Pumpage Annual Report. Select the activity that needs your attention.

    Filter Activity type on Activity history to see only that specific activity types.

Completing the Pumpage/Usage Annual Report Activity

  1. Review the Guidance on the upper right side of the activity screen.

  2. When ready to begin, select Next.

    1. The status of the activity will update from Report Due to Fill out Form.

  3. Click the Start Form button under Tasks.

Select the Start Form button to being completing your report.
  1. The Pumpage Report form will appear. Enter your data as requested in the form. There are instruction and help text within the form.

    1. The form includes conditional fields that may adapt based on your selections.

  2. When the form is finished, click Complete.

    1. If may select Save Draft, if you need to finish form at another time. You’ll be able to access the form again by clicking the Return to Form Task on the activity screen.

Once the form is complete, select the Completed Button
  1. After selecting Complete, you’ll be returned to the activity overview screen, and the activity status will be Pending Certification.

  2. Review the updated Guidance.

  3. When ready, select Submit to EGLE.

    1. You must be a Certifier to Submit to EGLE and complete the Submission Attestation using the Security PIN.

  4. When the activity status updates to Submitted, you’ll know the submission was successfully made to EGLE.

  5. A confirmation email will be sent to the submitter upon successful submission.

  6. If needed, send a message to your District Analyst using the Messages card.


Additional Information

Printing the Form

  • A copy of the Pumpage/Usage Report form can be printed your records by scrolling to Customer Attachment and clicking the Preview Attachment icon, followed by the Print icon on the form preview.

  • Supplies that submit Monthly Operations Reports (MORs) will have an activity created for them by EGLE. EGLE will enter the MOR pumpage data from the prior year into the activity. The data can be reviewed and printed by clicking on the Download icon in the EGLE Attachments card.

Understanding Status'

  • Report Due is the first status seen on these activities.

  • Fill Out Form is the second status seen on these activities and shows up upon beginning the form.

  • Pending Certification is the status displayed after filling out the report form and prior to submission to EGLE.

  • Submitted is the status that appears upon successful submission to EGLE.

  • EGLE Review shows up when EGLE begins reviewing your submission.

  • Accepted will show up once EGLE review of the report is completed.

  • Closed may appear as a status for some water supplies, supplies that submit Monthly Operations Reports (MORs), because the activity was created on behalf of the supply by EGLE using information provided in the MORs from the prior year.

  • More Information Need is a status that appears if EGLE requires more information regarding your submission. Check the Messages card for correspondence from EGLE staff. If form edits are needed, click Edit Form. Once all information/edits are provided, click Resubmit.
