Claiming an Entity
When you are a new user in the MiEHDWIS system, you may need to claim an already established entity.
What is an established Entity?
The MiEHDWIS system already has loaded into it the historical record of active, inactive and pending Campgrounds, Community Water Supplies, Septage Haulers, Septage Waste Receiving Facilities, Public Swimming Pools, Water Haulers.
There is a very good chance that the Entity you are associated with is already in the system.
Not all Program Areas are using Claim Entity PINs yet.
Log into the MiEHDWIS System.
Select Claim Entity in the left-hand dashboard.
On the Claim Entity page complete the following information.
Enter the Entity ID.
Enter the Claim Entity PIN.
Select the Claim Entity button.
After successfully claiming an entity, the User dashboard will appear.
Scroll down to the Entities card to confirm the new entity is listed there.
Where can I find Claim Entity ID and PIN/Code?
Your Entity ID and the Claim Entity PIN/Code will be on your most recent invoice. For Campgrounds and Swimming Pools, you will be receiving your invoices in October. Septage Haulers will get theirs in December.

Troubleshooting Claiming an Entity
If you are unable to claim an entity, please check which error message is appearing in the upper right corner.
Error Option 1: Incorrect Entity ID
Confirm that you have entered the correct Entity ID, including the dash between the first two letters and the last four numbers.
Error Option 2: Incorrect Claim Entity PIN
Confirm that you have entered the correct Claim Entity PIN. The PIN/code is a combination of six letters and numbers.
To confirm your entity ID and your Claim Entity PIN please refer to your most recent invoice from EGLE.
