Contributor roles in MiEHDWIS control which activities that the external user can see in the Customer Portal, as well as what tasks and actions the external user is allowed to do.

Activity Creator is the role that MiEHDWIS assigns automatically to the approved external user that creates an activity. Activity Creators can create activities, add documents to activities, and submit directly to EGLE, with the exception of Community Water Supply. Activity Creators will only be able to view activities they created.

Activity Contributor
The role given to an approved external user that did not create the activity but needs to interact with the activity in some way (viewing/tracking, checking off tasks, adding additional files, etc.).

If an external user needs to be added as an Activity Contributor, please direct them to Managing Activity-Level Contributors for instructions on adding and removing Activity Contributors.

Entity Contributor
The role given to an approved external user that can create activities, add documents to activities, view all activities for the entity(ies) they are granted access to, and can submit activities on behalf of the entity(ies), with the exception of Community Water Supply.

If an external user needs to be added as an Entity Contributor, please direct them to Managing Entity-Level Contributors for instructions on adding and removing Entity Contributors.

This role is only used for Community Water Supply.

Community Water Supply approved external users will need this role if they are certifying activities, and their associated files, on behalf of the water supply(ies) they oversee.

Certifiers can create activities, add documents to activities, view all the activities for the supply(ies) they are a Certifier for, and submit activities to EGLE on behalf of the water supply(ies) they are a Certifier for.
