📅Release 20 - Timeline & Key Features

Here’s a brief update on the release schedule and what to expect:

  • UPDATED Release date: April 2nd, 2026 (NEW DATE!)

Release 20 will contain the first wave of Filter First materials. In addition to Filter First, this release will also include many ADA compliance updates, and several bug fixes.

Configuration and Integration Wins

In addition to the work for R20, the configuration team has been busy. This list shows some completed wins:

  • Updated Guidance for CWS Monitoring Schedule Workflow on the Active Step.

  • Consumer Confidence Report has updated language highlighting the changes in the Lead Action Level.

  • Swimming Pool Rejection Letter template updated with new variables for Billable customer

  • CWS Construction Permit Changes:

    • Updated language in the dynamic form for new Main Facility Basis of Design.

    • Updated language in the dynamic form for Watermain - Basis of Design

    • New File Type for “Permit/Standard Specifications Review Checklist”

  • Update To Temporary Campground Application form regarding Township and required Haulers information.

  • SSP Updates:

    • Dynamic form updated for Bacti making analyst fields editable and updating language

    • New Facility ID updates from DIST to DS001

Is there a configuration change you would like to happen? Submit a Request a Change ticket. The process is simple. Once you submit a change request, it is reviewed to see if this is something that is a quick review and change or if it’s something that needs to be approved on a larger scale. You will meet with the configuration team, to help come up with a solution.


Updated Knowledge Base Articles:

Knowledge Base Articles creation is currently on hold, with priority going to all Release 20 materials. Please be on the lookout in the March Update for new and updated KBAS.

Are external users asking questions you can't answer?

Curious about what external users learn about a process?

Visit the External User Confluence page. It offers help articles and videos for MiEHDWIS external users. The site updates regularly with new KBAs, instructional videos, and revised materials.

Here’s a list of important meetings and training sessions to keep on your radar:

  • Demo Days: MiEHDWIS from the external user Perspective

    • Date & Time: Monday Mar 23, 2026 at 2pm.

    • Details: How often do you stop and think about what the external user sees? Do you wonder what their user experience is like? This session will highlight the differences between the external user experiences based on program area and role and will highlight some of the common points of confusion for external users.

  • Release 20 Demo

    • Date & Time: Friday Mar 27, 2026at 10am.

    • Location/Platform: Teams

    • Details: Come see what is new with Release 20! This session will be recorded for those who are unable to attend.

  • MiEHDWIS Bi-Weekly Open Office Hours

    • Date & Time: Every other Friday (as needed), 10–10:30 a.m.

    • Location/Platform: Teams

    • Details: Open office opportunity for staff to discuss MiEHDWIS and ask questions with the project team. This is an informal session with no planned agenda. Occasionally, this meeting will be used to demonstrate new release features. Attendance is strongly encouraged!

    • Have a question? Add it to the Open Office Whiteboard so we can address it first on Fridays.

Important Reminders

  • What is the process for requesting new training materials?: If you notice that training material is missing, a KBA needs to be updated, or you would like to request a team or small group training session, please feel free to submit a “Request Training Materials” ticket with the Internal Help Desk.
    Please let us know a description of what is needed, and someone will reach out to you shortly after you’ve submitted your ticket.

  • Who are the SMEs? - This KBA is a refresher list of who is currently an SME (Subject Matter Expert).
