Community Water Supplies Entities Search

All community water supplies appear in the Community Water, Supplies section under Program Areas.

There are a number of different search fields available to further refine the water supplies list in CWS Entities Search and CWS Entities Advanced Search. CWS data is sourced from SDWIS and select fields are searchable within MiEHDWIS.

There is a SDWIS Noncommunity and Community Water Supply Sync Process under System, Operations, Processes. This process refreshes Noncommunity and Community Water Supply inventory data from SDWIS. Runs once every night (7pm). This process may also be run on-demand manually, so the searches proceed with current data.

CWS Entities Search

  1. Navigate to CWS entity search by clicking Community Water, then Supplies from underneath the Program Areas section of the left navigation menu.

  2. The CWS entity search screen by default shows Active and Proposed Status water supplies.

  3. There is a Text Filter and three, multi-select supported, Quick Filters, which are:

    1. Status - Active, Inactive, and Proposed are Status options, inferred from the entity information in SDWIS.

    2. Subdistrict - All CWS subdistricts as listed in the Local Name field in SDWIS are selectable.

    3. County - Select one or more Michigan county from the list.

  4. Filters can be removed by clicking the X in the filter chips displayed at the top of the results list.

  5. The list can be exported by clicking the Download cloud icon.

  6. The supply list can also be turned into a Saved Search by clicking the three dot menu and then Saved Search.

  7. CWS Advanced Search can be accessed by clicking the magnifying glass icon.

CWS Entities Advanced Search

  1. Upon clicking the magnifying glass icon from the CWS entities search screen, you will be taken to a search screen with a single Search Field for Status defaulted with Is Active and Proposed selected. The Status row can be edited or removed, if desired, by clicking the minus symbol on the row or the x on the individual status pills in the Select a Status field.

  2. To add additional search criteria, click the Add Search Field button, which will create another row for you to select an additional option. Continue adding rows until all desired search fields have been added.

  3. Click Search to look for entities that match your selected criteria.

  4. You will be directed to the CWS entities search screen again with updated results listed.

  5. You can refine your search or perform another search by clicking the magnifying glass icon again.

  6. If you want to quickly clear your selected criteria and start a new search, click the Reset button.
