Release 19 - Completed

Release 19 is completed! On September 4th we had a successful software release.
In this month’s update, you will see a list of updated Knowledge Base Articles that tied back to work done in this release.

Release 20 - Timeline & Key Features

Here’s a brief update on the release schedule and what to expect:

  • Release date: Spring 2026 (tentative)

Filter First work has begun. Development of the new program area “School & Child Care” started with Sprint 133.

We welcome a new group of Subject Matter Experts! Thank you, Holly Gohlke, Lisa Anderson, Heather Brown, and Kylie Huitema, for sharing your insight as we build the Filter First program.

Configuration and Integration Wins

The configuration team has been busy these last few weeks. This list contains some of the wins that have been completed:

New Feature: Workflow Function to Assign tasks to the current assignee instead of the coverage person.

If your workflow assigns tasks based on coverage and you want to change it, submit change request ticket to add the current assignee function to your workflow.

  • Completed Standardization of SWRF/WH More Information Loop.

  • Modified Bacteriological Sampling Site plan workflow

  • Updated Bacti Active Sties Template

  • Changed Sewer Info in Campgroup License Renewal Packet Template

  • Alter time and submitted step on CWS construction permits.

  • R-19 - Updated Septage Hauler License templates

  • R-19 - Updated templates in all program areas to support the Claim Entity functionality

  • R-19 - Updated Campground and Swimming Pool Establishment templates and forms to support new Billable Customer fields.

  • R-19 - Updated CWS construction permit dynamic forms

  • R-19 - Confirm CWS SDWIS Compliance Schedule Lookup is set correctly.

  • R-19 - Update Transfer Ownership forms to account for new Attention To field

  • R-19 - Add new Data Binding workflow function to all workflows using data bound forms

  • R-19 - Correct Workflows needed for Annual Reports and compliance schedules

  • R-19 - Update and seed new static Content information

Current configuration work

  • Temporary Campground Program (forms, workflow, activity and templates)

  • New Septage Hauler Vehicle and Land Site Activities

  • CWS Construction Permit Basis of Design improvements

  • OWM Condo Notice of Intent

  • Swimming Pool Construction Permit workflow improvements

  • Swimming Pool Closing Order form & workflow updates

  • New Workflow for Swimming Pool Transfer Ownership

  • New Workflow for Swimming Pool License 2026 license renewal process

  • Fee Schedule Updates to 2026-2028 values

Is there a configuration change you would like to happen? Submit a Request a Change ticket. The process is simple. Once you submit a change request, it is reviewed to see if this is something that is a quick review and change or if it something that needs to be approved on a larger scale. You will meet with the configuration team, to help come up with a solution.

Learning About Claim Entity PINs

  • This KBA covers:

    • Bulk Creating Claim Entity Pins

    • Generating an individual pin

    • How to locate an entity pin

Activity Naming Convention

  • This KBA covers:

    • Program areas choose the variable in the naming process

    • Activity names can now be edited directly on the Activity Overview page

    • All area and activities created by all types of users are using the naming convention

Community Water Supply - Entity Overview

  • This KBA reviews all the cards on the Entity overview. It also highlights several of the new features from R-19 including:

    • Current Plans and Reports

    • Annual Reports (Data Migration with R-19 and a new process coming in January 2026)

    • Entity Level Spotlight

    • New activity filters

Campground Entity Overview

  • This KBA reviews all the cards on the Entity overview. It also highlights several of the new features from R-19 including:

    • Billable customer changes

    • New recent activity filters

    • New cards regarding Sites and Privies

    • Where a new Claim Entity Pin can be generated

Swimming Pool Establishment Overview

  • This KBA reviews all the cards on the Entity overview. It also highlights several of the new features from R-19 including:

    • Billable customer changes

    • New recent activity filters

    • Where a new Claim Entity Pin can be generated

Water Haulers - Entity Overview

  • This KBA reviews all the cards on the Entity overview. It also highlights several of the new features from R-19 including:

Updated External KBAs

Using the Local Health Department Dashboard
Using the Dashboard

  • These two KBAs highlight the changes for external users, including Local Health Department users. Local Health Department users now have a custom dashboard with easier navigation between the program areas.

Submitting Your Cross Connection Annual Reports in MiEHDWIS

  • Two new processes for Water Supplies, starting in January 2026.

Creating a New Entity

  • When external users are creating a new Swimming Pool Establishment or Campground they now must provide billable customer information during the creation processes.

Claiming an Entity

  • External users can now come into the MiEHDWIS system and claim an existing entity. Claim Entity Pins are sent out to external users on their entity’s annual invoices.

Sending a Message to EGLE Staff

  • There are new indicators to highlight who is an internal staff member vs. who is an external user.

Using a Security PIN to Submit an Activity (CWS)

  • Certifiers now get a confirmation email after submitting an activity to EGLE.

Creating Multiple Activities at Once

  • With Release 19, there is a much easier and cleaner process to bulk create activities. This is very valuable to contract operators who work with multiple supplies. This includes using a worklist to easily navigate between activities.

Viewing my Activity History

  • Release 19 improved activity history for external users, addressing concerns about finding existing activities. New filters simplify searches, including by bulk creation ID. Users can create a worklist from the Activity History page after applying filters.

  • MiEHDWIS Weekly Open Office Hours

    • UPDATED Date & Time: Every other Friday (as needed), 10–10:30 a.m.

    • Details: Open office opportunity for staff to discuss MiEHDWIS and ask questions with the project team. This is an informal session with no planned agenda. Occasionally, this meeting will be used to demonstrate new release features. Attendance is strongly encouraged!

  • CWS MiEHDWIS External User Open Office Hours - Release 19 Training
