Upcoming Release: Release 19 - Timeline & Key Features
Here’s a brief update on the release schedule and what you can anticipate:

The Open Office Demo will be on August 22nd at 10am. This will be recorded for those who cannot attend.
Configuration and Integration Wins
The configuration team has been busy these last few weeks. This list contains some of the wins that have been completed:
Standardization of SH/SWRF/WH More Information Loop.
New template for CWS construction permits, reflecting the correct decimals.
Workflow pathway for when SH inspections are created in error.
Updated language on Accepted/Completed transition on CCR certificate workflow.
Fixed assignment on the Swimming Pool Equipment Change Activity to retain engineer.
Adjusting the assignment on the CCR Cert when activity is sent into More Information.
Updated language on the Swimming Pool Closing Order to match language standards.
Correcting the fees process on modified swimming pools in the construction permit.
New transition on CWS Violation Notice Activity to reopen closed activities.
Current Configuration Work
With Release 19, there are some major changes coming with Swimming Pool and Campground billable customers. Staff will no longer have to manually enter and maintain billing information.
Correcting the fees for spray pads in Swimming Pools.
Creation of a new dynamic form for pool equipment change requests.
The Submitted step is being added to about 19 CWS workflows, allowing internal workers to transition from Submitted to Review. This will add transparency for the external user on where their submission is in the review process.
Creation of a new dynamic form for swimming pool closing orders.
New File Type Alert
Other Well/Source Water Documents
This new file type is associated with the Well/Source Water Documents Activity type.
Hydrogeological Studies
This renamed file type is associated with the Well/Source Water Documents Activity type.
Formally called Aquifer Analyses
Emergency Repair/Partial Replacement Form
This File type is associated with the Annual Service Line Replacement Report activity type.
Is there a configuration change you would like to happen? Submit a Request a Change ticket. The process is simple. Once you submit a change request, it is reviewed to see if this is something that is a quick review and change or if it something that needs to be approved on a larger scale. You will meet with the configuration team, to help come up with a solution.
New and Updated Knowledge Base Articles - On Hold!
Non-release related KBA updates and production is currently on hold.

External User Confluence
Is an external user asking you questions that you can’t answer?
Do you ever wonder what external users are told about a process?
Then head to the External User Confluence page. This page has help articles and videos specifically for external users of MiEHDWIS. This site is updated frequently, with new KBAs, instructional videos and updated materials.
Conference Requests
Is there an upcoming conference at which MiEHDWIS training should be offered, but you don’t feel comfortable enough to lead it?
Would a presentation about MiEHDWIS add to an upcoming conference agenda, but you don’t know who to ask?
Should a MiEHDWIS table be there to answer user questions that you can’t answer?
If so, submit a Training Materials Request! Be sure to select Other and give a description of the conference and presentation request below in the Description box.
When you submit a conference-related training request, we will review that request, confirm trainer availability, and let you know!

MiEHDWIS Release 19 demo
UPDATED Date & Time: Friday, August 22nd, 10am.
Location/Platform: Teams Open Office meeting slot.
Details: Release 19 is coming with some changes for everyone. Every program area is getting some enhancements, in addition to some big changes affecting all users. Be sure to attend and see what is coming with R-19. This demo will be recorded and posted on Confluence after September 4th.
MiEHDWIS Weekly Open Office Hours: Important Update!
UPDATED Date & Time: Every other Friday (as needed), 10–10:30 a.m.
The DASU team discussed and decided to keep the Open Office hours every other week moving forward. During the summer, we had such great interactions and responses in the bi-weekly meeting style that we decided to keep it. Thank you for engaging with us!
Location/Platform: Teams
Details: Open office opportunity for staff to discuss MiEHDWIS and ask questions with the project team. This is an informal session with no planned agenda. Occasionally, this meeting will be used to demonstrate new release features. Attendance is strongly encouraged!
Have a question? Add it to the Open Office Whiteboard so we can address it first on Fridays.
CWS MiEHDWIS External User Open Office Hours
Date & Time: Wednesday, August 20th, 2025 - 11 am.
Location/Platform: Virtual Platform
Details: This training is for External CWS users. This is a monthly training, and it will cover some of the most impactful changes for external CWS users. Please feel free to promote this training to any external CWS users. MiEHDWIS CWS External User Training - Registration

Details: Release 19 is bringing some major dashboard changes to the Local Health department users. A training is currently being planned.

The next MiEHDWIS Refresher will be at the end of September, followed by the last session of 2025 in early December.

MiEHDWIS Around the Mitten
This last month, DASU team members Mary Nuznov and Jessica Melchert were in the Lansing district office to host an in-person training session for the Enforcement Unit.

Sprint Update: This sprint is different than our standard 2 week sprint cycle. This sprint cycle is 4 weeks long. Release 19 is slated for the start of September.

Important Reminders
What is the process for requesting new training materials?: If you notice that a training material is missing, a KBA needs to be updated, or you would like to request a team or small group training session, please feel free to submit a “Request Training Materials” ticket with the Internal Help Desk.
Please let us know a description of what is needed, and someone will reach out to you shortly after you’ve submitted your ticket.Who are the SMEs? - This KBA is a refresher list of who is currently an SME (Subject Matter Expert).
