Checking An Activities Visibility

  1. In the left-hand menu, under System, select Maintenance.

  2. In the dropdown, select Entity Configuration.

  1. Select your Entity Type, along the top of the screen.

  2. Then select the Activity Type tab.

  1. Select the File Type you are interested in seeing.

  2. On the Details page, locate the Available in Customer Portal section.

  1. There are currently three Available in Customer Portal view types for activity types:

    1. Not Available - The external user cannot see or engaged with the activity. This activity is created internally and is for internal use only.

    2. Can View - An external user can see the activity, but they cannot create that activity.

    3. Can Create - An external user can initiate that activity type from the Activity Menu.

    4. With Release 19 - a fourth view type called Delay View will be added.

Do not change the availability on an activity type.

While most users will not have permissions to change an activity availability on the customer portal, if you do have access do not use it.

If you feel like an activity type needs a different availability, please submit a Change Request ticket.
