New Michigan State Employees can request access to MiEHDWIS. A unique identification and password is used to access MiEHDWIS. This also allows personal to set up security questions and answers that can be used to reset passwords if they are ever forgotten.

Request Access to MiEHDWIS

  1. From your MILogin MiLogin for Workers homepage, click Request Access Find Services.  

  2. Select agency – Either filter by Departments by checking Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.  

  3. Click Search Application.  

  4. Choose or type in Michigan Environmental Health and Drinking Water Information System (MiEHDWIS) .  in the Search for Services search box.

  5. Click the box for MiEHDWIS.

  6. Agree to Terms and Conditions.   

  7. Click Request AccessService.  

  8. Confirmation screen appears that request was successfully submitted.  

  9. Click Home

  10. Click on Michigan Environmental Health and Drinking Water Information System (MiEHDWIS). If MiEHDWIS does not show up on your home screen, log out of MILogin and log back in until it shows up.   

  11. Agree to Terms and Conditions. 

  12. MiEHDWIS opens up on the main screen where you see a message stating that your account is active but not yet provisioned with permissions. 

  13. Email EGLE-MiEHDWIS@Michigan.gov, copy your supervisor, and include your job duties and program areas so that a MiEHDWIS Administrator can determine account access needs. 

  14. A MiEHDWIS System Administrator will email you back when your permissions have been provisioned.

MiEHDWIS must be accessed through MILogin each time.

You may be logged out of MiEHDWIS after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Be sure to log out of MiEHDWIS at the end of your session.

  1. Welcome screen. Enter in your Agency, Division, Section, and Unit.

  2. Enter in your Program Area and Describe Your Role. Be sure to enter in the coverage areas that you work with (i.e. District 4, Ingham County, etc.) and include your job duties.

  3. Click Submit Request Access.

  4. You will receive an email once a System Administrator has approved your access.
