  1. When on your dashboard, you can view a list of open inspection activities on the Open Inspection Activities card.

  2. To find the inspection you’re looking for, click the Filter button or use the columns to sort.

    1. You are able to filter for activity type, by filter for Campground Inspections you will see only that type inspection activity.

    2. If you are only interested in finding inspection that need to be completed, filtering for the activity status of Inspection Requested will provide a list.

  3. Assign or claim an inspection by selecting the person-icon in the right-hand column.

  4. Search of activities in the Inspection Requested activity Status.

  5. Open the activity by clicking on the inspection activity hyperlink (in blue font, beginning with ACT-).

Option 1 - coming soon!

Option 1 - Begin Inspection

Begin Inspection is for Annual inspections. If you are doing a seasonal closing inspection or a permanent closure inspection, please scroll down to further options

  1. Click on the Begin Inspection button to use the integrated inspection form and submit data directly to EGLE. EGLE’s inspection questions have been updated and are now part of MiEHDWIS.

Option 2

  1. Click Upload Inspection Report to submit an inspection report that has already been generated from an inspection application system. Choose this option if you used another form or software product when you inspected an entity and need to send the file to EGLE.

  2. Review the information under Description, on the right-hand side of screen.

  3. When ready, navigate to Tasks and select Start Form.

  4. This will bring you to a new form entitled Campground Inspection form. The Inspection Due date will be listed, as well as the Inspection ID and the Type of Inspection.

    1. Please confirm that your Inspection type is correct.

  5. Complete the Inspection Reporting Method.

    1. Upload an Inspection Report - If this route is selected, you will need to upload a scanned paper or digital inspection form after completing the form and supplying your recommendation of compliance Status.

    2. Complete Inspection Questions Below- This route has all the required questions listed in the form, with your recommendation of compliance Status.

    3. Report a Corrective Action -

  6. Select Licenses Status - Confirm with the campground representative you are with, while completing your inspection.

  1. Complete the remaining questions in the inspection form. Be sure to set the Inspection Status/Resolution.

    1. ✔️ In Compliance - No issues or concerns were identified, no compliance comments were included on the report, and no EGLE staff review is required.

    2. ✔️ In Substantial Compliance - Only minor issues or concerns were identified, compliance comments are included on the report, and EGLE staff will review.

      1. A follow-up inspection may be necessary.

    3. Not In Compliance - Multiple minor issues or concerns, or one or more major issue or concern was identified, compliance comments are included on the report, and EGLE staff will review.

      1. A follow-up inspection is required.

      2. Continued licensure and operation are not recommended.

  2. If you selected Upload an Inspection Report in the Inspection Form on step 6, a new task will appear.

    1. You will need to Upload the Inspection Report in the Inspection.

      1. Scroll down to the Customer Attachments card.

      2. Click on the Upload Attachments button.

      3. Browse or drag the attachments to the upload modal.

      4. Select Inspection Report from the File Type drop-down list and click the Save button.

      5. Scroll back up to the Tasks card and click on the task box to check the task as complete.

Click on the Inspection Summary button at the top of the activity.

On your Tasks card, click the Start Form button to fill out the Inspection Summary Form.

Fill in the required fields on the Inspection Summary Form.

Choose the appropriate Inspection Status/Resolution, either: In Compliance, In Substantial Compliance, or Not in Compliance.

Click the Complete button at the bottom of the form.

Scroll up to the top of the activity and click on the Submit to EGLE button.

  1. If you selected Complete Inspection Questions Below in the Inspection Form on Step 6, you have the option to upload additional supporting documents.

      2. Click on the Upload Attachments button.

      4. Select the type of file from the File Type drop-down list and click the Save button.

For In Compliance inspections, the current Status of the activity will change to Approved. EGLE staff will be notified of its receipt.

Click Corrective Actions Completed to simply record a return to compliance upon a follow-up inspection. Choose this option to update the compliance recommendation, comments, and other pertinent information. You may also choose to upload files.

2 - Seasonal Closure

  1. Click Seasonal Closure for an end of season closure.

  2. This will change the status of the activity to Closed/Seasonal and close the activity.

  1. Click Permanent Closure to signify the permanent closure of a campground.
