The PDF Review tab will only show up on an activity if the function has been turned on in the workflow. Annotations and notes made in PDF Review will not transfer to the document in the File Drawer.

  1. While on the activity that allows PDF review, click the PDF Review tab.

  2. All PDFs in the file drawer of the activity will appear in the PDF Review tab.

  3. PDF Review can perform the following under the Comment tab:

    1. Add stampsView and create Notes made by yourself and other internal users.

    2. Highlight, strike-through, underline and underline text.

    3. Mark for replacement and inserting of text.

    4. Add text annotations for the external user to see by using either Typewriter, Callout or Textbox.

    5. View and create Notes made by yourself and other internal users.

    6. Insert shapes

    7. Highlight blocks of text

    8. Draw on the document, and erase.

    9. Add stamps

    10. Calculate distances, perimeters, and areas.

  4. To delete notes and markups, select the Comment List in the left-hand menu. Select on the comment then select the three dots in the right-hand upper corner. A new window appears with Edit, Delete or Select States for those comments. You can also copy text when working with a Note, Typewriter, Callouts or Textbox.

  5. To exclude a document from PDF Review, click Exclude. The document will be removed from the PDF Review tab, but not from the Files drawer. You will not be able to add or read comments after doing so.

  6. To indicate that a response is required from an external user, click Response Required and then be sure to transition the activity to More Information Needed once all documents have been reviewed.

Please Note: You will need to set the document status to Response Required, if you want the external user to be able to view your annotations. PDF Review is an application embedded within MiEHDWIS. Transitioning to More Information Needed, does not transition the status of the PDF documents.

  1. To indicate that you have completed reviewing a document, click Complete. You will not be able to add additional comments after doing so.

  1. To replace a document with another, click Supersede and follow the prompts. Once a document has been superseded, you will not be able to add additional comments.
