The MiEHDWIS team is excited to deliver the 12.0 release of MiEHDWIS on June 22, 2023. This release includes an enhancement for approved external users to participate in electronic plan reviews directly in MiEHDWIS, new personal Dashboard capabilities, an ability to modify user notification preferences, and an ability for EGLE staff to view reports. Please read on for additional features added in this release. In addition, this release includes many enhancements to existing functionality and numerous bug fixes.

Production Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue that prevented an activity from being unassigned.
Fixed an issue where the system generated an error when a user added the same saved search to a personal dashboard.
Fixes to specific hyperlinks within the Notification logic for internal v. external users were implemented.
Fixed an issue where EGLE staff was unable to create a contributor task within Community Water Supply.
Fixed the ability for a user to reuse their existing signature files.
Fixed various cosmetic issues for improved user experience including enhancing type-ahead filter functionality, enhanced drop-down functionality, page alignment enhancements, and radio button alignment.
Fixed an issue so that Local Health Department data was returned in PowerBI reports.
Local Health Department Offices for Community Water Supply entities were updated.
Enhanced the user experience to redirect a user to the login screen upon timing out.
Fixed Bulk and New Land Site Inspections so that the business name is returned on activities and not the DBA.
Septic Haulers Activities were modified to include the period of license in the activity name.
Fixed an issue so that a single account approval email is sent with no tasking assigned to the external approved user.
Fixed an issue preventing checkbox information from being pulled into a letter template correctly. This was preventing users from leveraging checkboxes in dynamic forms.
Added performance improvements on toggles on Actions to improve response times.
Communications/Messages/Alerts
In this release, we have enhanced communication so that users are able to choose how they’d like to receive notifications and documents. How approved external users and EGLE staff navigate to links within a notification was enhanced this release. Error handling has been added when external users do not have the ability to see entities for navigation. Work has been completed to ensure that URLS route users to the appropriate destination. Additional enhancements are communicated below:
System administrators can now create, edit, and delete template notifications.
A spinner was added to communicate to the user that the process has started to mark notifications as read and that removing all notifications functions properly.
Approved External Users can target an individual internal user on message creation.
Defects on Bell Counts and the Notifications Badge were corrected on unread v. read messages.
Plan Review Functionality
This release builds upon the internal portion of the Plan Review functionality to include the option to allow external users to participate in Plan Reviews. As a reminder, the external functionality still is not needed to conduct a plan review electronically by an internal user.
Now Approved External Users will experience the appearance of the PDF review card on the customer portal.
Approved External Users now can reply from the customer portal on a PDF Plan Review step.
Plan Review feature functionality is now available to expose to both internal and external users based on workflow needs.
Dashboard Enhancements
This release built upon the enhancements of Release 11 to add a “My Messages for Open Activities” Widget with additional ADA enhancements.
File Management Enhancements
This release alterations to the customer portal to make it easier for external users to find their work. EGLE staff is now also able to experience enhanced global file upload abilities. Cosmetic changes to file type ahead and file drawer sortation have been enhanced as well as adding a most recent bulk upload search field.
Financial Enhancements
This release logic was modified for financial functionality, including:
Protection against edits to invoice category documents,
Added validation on Range Values for Fee Templates, and,
Cosmetic enhancements to sorting on the MiCaRS Transaction Queue.
User Management Enhancements
In this release, enhancements were implemented to improve user management feature functionality.
Enhanced the experience for users to receive more information on account requests.
Added functionality for the user access request process for approvals and denials.
Reports
Functionality was enhanced to include a new reports menu. This release OWM work groups and Administrators will be able to view the new OWM LHD Program Status Report to assist in accreditation activities and reporting for scheduling, reporting compliance, and workload forecasting.
System administrators can now control the report details page and perform report detail page maintenance.
Enhancements to Responsiveness
Enhancements were made to the general responsiveness of the application with light cosmetic and styling consistency updates to provide a better user experience while using the application.
Workflow
In this release, enhancements were made to workflows. Users with appropriate permissions can view the Workflow Component list (under the Maintenance menu). Additional functionality is listed here:
Added the ability to view a list of Workflow Components.
Added the ability to separately assign.
Added ability to reference signatures within templates.
Generate notifications based on the Contributor Role or Current Assignee.
Added the ability to enable signatures in a workflow and signature pads in the user profile.
Enhancements to alter workflow transitions to show descriptions.
Dynamic Forms Data-Binding Functionality
This release includes new data-binding functionality for dynamic forms. Dynamic forms can now be further customized and configured to include the major entities and activity information listed here:
